How SalesOn collects, uses, and protects your information when you browse or transact on the SalesOn mobile app.
Effective from January 1, 2022This privacy policy sets out to explain how SalesOn uses and protects any information that you may share for the purpose of browsing or transacting on the SalesOn mobile app ("App"). We at SalesOn are committed to protecting your privacy to the utmost.
You may be required to submit from time to time certain information for the purpose of registration and carrying out transactions on the App, which may be personally identifiable and of utmost necessity for transacting on the App. SalesOn shall use this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
SalesOn shall, at its sole discretion, amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. It is your sole responsibility to verify any amendments from time to time and satisfy yourself regarding the changes. This Privacy Policy is effective from January 1, 2022.
We will collect personally identifiable information from you in a variety of ways, including but not limited to:
Market research and business analytics. Your personally identifiable information may be used for market research and business analytic activities undertaken by SalesOn to measure various parameters of its business. SalesOn may also provide data collected from you — including name, email, phone number, and information collected while you access our App such as device information, location, and network carrier — to third-party service providers, only to personalize the App to your requirements and/or use third-party analytical tools for behavioural analytics, solely to improve your user experience. All third parties are bound by confidentiality and restrained from further use of the data.
Business transfers. In the event SalesOn completely assigns or sells its core business, the buyer shall be entitled to use your information as per the provisions of this Privacy Policy.
Legal compliance. Where it is of utmost necessity for SalesOn to divulge your personally identifiable information to comply with applicable laws, court orders, decrees or proceedings, or governmental or regulatory rules and regulations, or for arbitration purposes as directed by the legal framework of India, SalesOn shall in good faith — without your express permission — release your information to the appropriate authorities.
Third-party processors. Where we use third-party processors to administer and process for the purposes notified in this Privacy Policy, we may share details with third parties such as auditors, legal advisors, and other professionals to obtain advice. Any such processing is governed by an agreement in the form required by law, preserving any statutory data protection rights.
We collect information through technology to make our App more interesting and user-friendly. For instance, when you come to our App, we collect your IP address. An IP address is often associated with the portal through which you enter the internet, like your ISP, business place, shop, or residence. Standing alone, your IP address is not personally identifiable — but we may combine it with personally identifiable information to arrive at certain observations regarding transactions on the App.
Our App also uses cookies — pieces of information sent to your mobile phone while you view the App. We and other companies use cookies for a variety of purposes, such as remembering who you are when you return to the App after logging in. You can choose to be warned each time a cookie is sent, or turn off all cookies, through your browser settings. If you turn cookies off, some features and services may not function properly.
Our App also uses other technical methods for tracking, including beacons — small pieces of data embedded in images on App pages — to analyse traffic patterns, such as how frequently users visit various parts of the App. These methods may involve transmitting information to us or to another party authorized by us to collect information on our behalf. We also use these methods in HTML emails to determine whether recipients have opened those emails and/or clicked on links within them. Information collected through these methods may be personally identifiable.
You should be aware that while on our App, you could be directed to other apps or websites where the personal information collected is outside the control of SalesOn. For example, clicking on a banner advertisement may take you off the App. The privacy policy of the new website will govern the information obtained from you on such app or website.
We may change this Policy and our Terms & Conditions from time to time and will post the latest version of this Privacy Policy on the App. If we ever wish to use your personal information in a way that is incompatible with this Privacy Policy, we will only do so with your consent.
